Step Up and Serve: Ministry and Missions In Our New Home of Worship/Word

In just a few weeks, we will be entering a new place for worship/word;

ministry/missions. We will need every teen, adult, single, married, retired,

young, everyone to step up and serve in some area of ministry and mission.

It is going to take each one of us in 2012 serving in order to grow God's

House and expand God's Kingdom. Please take a moment right now to indicate

where you will be serving in 2012. You may choose more than one area. Thank you!

 

My 2012 Ministry and Mission for Advancing God's Kingdom

 

Ministry is: what I do to support church operations at a church facility Tech,

 Kids ministry, greeting, hospitality, security, Teens, etc.

 

Mission is: what I do in the community either at a Hope Center or some other

form of mission work directly (hand-on)) to those being reached: teaching,

leading games, hosting the Hope Center, tutoring at a HC, leading a seminar/group

 at a HC, teaching tech at a HC, Food/Clothing Team, Sanford 365, working at a

localized teen group on-site, invite packet distribution, Good Sam Clinic, etc.

Cleaning Team: helps weekly in cleaning the facility


Children’s Programs:  Looking for individuals to help assist the Leaders:


Nursery-Preschool Worker-assist with birth to 5 years old

KidMo Worker-assist with 5-12 year old group

Middle School Worker-assist with 6th-8th graders

Teen Worker-assist with 9th to 12th graders


Food Ministry with Death or Illness: Need individuals to prepare meals for funeral dinners or if someone is in the hospital and needs meals prepared for families or during recovery

Good Samaritan Free Clinic: need someone with spiritual counseling at  the Good Samaritan Free Clinic on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm

Greeting Team: workers who will serve a couple of times a month as a greeter or usher at the 10:00 am service

J Club Team: Looking for individuals to assist with 6-12 graders on Wednesday nights 6:30 to 8 pm

 

Work in one of the current weekly Kids Explosions: 

      Monday: Franklin Manor 6:30 PM             Saturday: Horatio Gates 11 AM

      Wednesday: Adam Stephen 4:30 PM        Saturday: Martin Landing 12 Noon

     

      You can serve snacks, help with games, lead memory verse or teach a Bible story

      or just be there to hang out with the kids.  This is a powerful weekly 45-minute

      ministry to children who do not have a way to make it to church on Sundays! 

 

Landscape Team: help with mowing, weed-eating, planting flowers in

      Spring, mulch, winter snow removals, etc. on the church grounds

 

Meals on Wheels: helps pick-up meals and drive to individuals once a Month on every 4th Wednesday of the month from 11:45 am-1:00 pm


New-Comers Lounge: serves with Pastor Ron for 15 minutes after the 10 am service greeting that day’s new guests

 

One Hope Ministry: serve once a month on a Saturday by packing bags with food for weekend school kids for Bags of Love, collect coats for the Coat Drive in December, serve at Uni-Fest in August

 

Parking Lot Team: this team arrives at 9:30 am on Sundays to help 365 Family & Friends and guests helps greet family and friends of 365 and guests find parking spots and also take them to their appropriate class

 

Resource Team: helps serve before and after service by selling message CDs, music CDs, devotional booklets

 

Security: Help patrol the buildings/grounds 1-2 times a month during service

 

Sound-Tech Team: helps with sound board and/or PowerPoint cells during the 10 am service 1-2 times a month

 

Transportation Team: help to pick-up individuals on Sundays for service

 

Worship/Band Team: individuals that have a talent in singing or playing  an instrument on stage on Sundays at the 10 am service

 

365 Sanford: need individuals to help collect or deliver items for people in our Church or community that need household items, i.e., furniture, clothes, food, etc. during the week or weekend


365 S.H.O.P. (serving and helping other people): need individuals to help collect toys (new or slightly used) for Christmas presents to parents
